Planning a trip to Morocco? Between tradition and modernity, the country offers incredible diversity. To ensure your stay goes smoothly, here are all our practical tips. At Red Hana Tours, we are by your side before, during and after your trip.
The official currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD). Bring cash, especially for small shops, tips and taxis. Credit cards are accepted in upscale hotels and restaurants.
Arabic and Berber are the official languages. French is widely spoken. English is also understood in tourist areas.
Wear loose, covering clothes (shoulders and knees), especially in imperial cities, to respect local customs. Swimwear is acceptable at the beach or pool.
A friendly "Salam Alaikum" is always appreciated. Bargaining is expected in souks. Ask permission before photographing people.
Morocco is a safe country for tourists. Be vigilant in crowds. Avoid walking alone at night in isolated areas. Our drivers know the safe routes perfectly.
Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) are ideal seasons. Summer can be very hot inland (up to 45°C). In winter, nights are cool, especially in the desert.
